19 Apr Getting Prepared For The Talent Convention
Talent conventions are excellent places for networking, and those in the acting and modeling realms know just how important the right networking can be for your career. When you attend any type of talent convention, it’s also important to bring along headshots or, more commonly, comp cards to give to casting agencies and talent managers who may be present at the event scoping out new talent. Comp cards and head shots can be used to make a lasting impact at talent conventions, so it’s always important to be prepared for the next one you attend.
With experienced printing and delivery, you can rest assured that you’ll have the headshots and comp cards you need to really network effectively at your next convention. With inexperienced printing, you may find yourself in a situation where your comp cards don’t quite have the quality you need to use them effectively, and untimely delivery can leave you with none at all, so taking care to make sure your chosen comp card company provides both delivery and experience is paramount to your talent convention experience.
Your comp cards should give those you hand them out to not only a way to remember you and your name, but to remember your personality as well. Where these differ from headshots is that they act as something of a single pictorial showcases the many aspects of who you are and what you do, making them a far more memorable item when perusing conventions with hundreds or thousands of others in the industry. With a thorough glimpse into your personality, talent and casting managers can really get a feel of what you could bring to their gig.
