02 Sep Headshot quick tip: Using a full body headshot

Here’s a picture of Air Bud…because why not?
Many new actors will sometimes want to get full body or the three quarters shot. While, those may have been big a few years ago, it’s no longer considered a good shot because of online casting.
When a casting director is sifting through a batch of headshots for an audition through an online service like LA Casting, the most they’ll see is a small thumbnail picture. It’s awfully difficult to see your beautiful face and that big bright smile with a small 200×200 pixel image if it’s a full body or three quarters shot.
So when choosing your headshots, be sure it’s an actual headshot or you may be losing out on some great opportunities and save that full body shot for print.
