08 Apr Target’s epic retouching fail
Target learned a valuable lesson a few days ago after the website Jezebel spotted poorly excited retouching job.
It’s anyone’s guess why this images was ever OK’d by Target. There are several reasons being thrown around as to why this could have happened. It could have been a simple case of hiring a poorly trained retoucher on the cheap, or maybe the person in charge was asleep at the wheel. There’s also the possibility of the marketing department pushing an unrealistic idea of how a woman should look.
What ever the case may be, it presents a good learning opportunity for the rest of you out there. Whether you’re a model or and actor, it’s always good to hire professional retouchers (like us for example!) and to let them do their job. Because the worst thing anyone can say about an image is that it looks retouched.
